The Minister of Information and Communications Technology Seyed Sattar Hahsemi has inaugurated 206 ICT projects in the North Khorasan Province, with a combined investment value of US dollars 13 million.
They were unveiled on Saturday at a meeting attended by the Governor
General and other senior provincial officials at the conclusion of his visit to the
northeastern province.
The projects are aimed at expanding communications infrastructure,
improving service quality, enhancing network resilience, extending rural
connectivity, expanding fiber-optic networks, and strengthening mobile coverage
across the province.
Their completion marks a significant step towards strengthening North
Khorasan Province's communications infrastructure, improving service quality,
expanding communications coverage, accelerating fiber-optic deployment, and
enhancing network resilience.
The projects advance the Government's objectives of communications equity
and balanced regional development.
Earlier in the day, Hashemi held a meeting with stakeholders, business
elites, and knowledge-based companies in the field of ICT at the Governor
General’s Office.
The ICT Minister emphasized transforming
North Khorasan's scientific and technological capacities into economic
opportunities, supporting knowledge-based companies and creating the conditions
for the province's technological products and services to be present in
national and global markets.
