A total of 141 ICT projects with a combined investment of $15 million were inaugurated on Sunday in the Golestan Province during the visit of Minister of Information and Communications Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi to the Caspian province.
They were put into operation at a
meeting attended by the Governor General and other provincial officials at the
conclusion of the ICT Minister’s visit to expand rural connectivity
and communications coverage, increase communications network capacity
and stability, as well as to accelerate launching of 5G sites.
Their completion marks a
significant step towards strengthening Golestan Province's communications
infrastructure, improving service quality, expanding communications coverage,
accelerating fiber-optic deployment, and enhancing network resilience.
On Saturday, Hashemi also inaugurated
206 ICT projects in the neighboring North Khorasan Province, with a combined
investment value of $13 million.
These projects are aimed at
expanding communications infrastructure, improving service quality, enhancing
network resilience, extending rural connectivity, expanding fiber-optic
networks, and strengthening mobile coverage across the provinces.
They advance President Masoud Pezeshkian
administration’s objectives of communications equity and balanced regional
development.
